If you are not yet a parent and do not deal with infants and babies, you may be unfamiliar with baby monitors. What is a baby monitor? And what does it have to do with babies? A baby monitor, as its name implies is a portable device that allows a person to keep an eye and ear on babies while she is not in the same room as the baby. This device, since being invented, has become staples in homes where newborns and babies live.

When I first learned that I was pregnant, the first things that I looked online for were baby monitors. I wanted something that was very user-friendly and had clear signals so I could look after my baby when I was in another room.

What are the things I look for in a baby infant monitor? The first thing on my list is the user-friendliness. I reviewed several baby monitors online and most of them are very easy to setup and operate. The next thing is the battery lifespan. I do not want batteries to die unnecessarily which means I will not be able to look after my baby where ever I am. There are rechargeable batteries included and some monitors come with disposable batteries. Another aspect is the strength of the signal from the baby monitor picked up. I wanted something that could give me strong and clear signals no matter where I am inside my house. The baby monitor I chose was priced at $199.99 in some stores both retail and online.

Finally I found the best baby monitor that I get a hold of online after thorough reviewing and research. I must say that the price was honestly worth it because now I am able to use the monitor to its full advantage and I do not have to worry when I leave my baby in his nursery so I could do the house work. The best thing about the monitor that I bought was that it had up to four cameras, so I could look after and keep an eye on my baby from anywhere in the house. And all that provided me with comfort and safety and peace of mind. In other words, this monitor was totally priceless!

But despite all of the amazing features and benefits I mentioned above, there is one important thing to keep in mind and it is the reason that the baby monitor was made in the first place - the security of your newborn! I'm pretty sure that you are familiar of the term SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) aka Cot Death, in which a newborn dies for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, this is not a disease which means it can not be detected. It just happens! And it can happen to ANY newborn child.
